During key stage 1 pupils learn the basic knowledge and understanding of mathematics.  They learn to count, read, write and order numbers to 100 and beyond.   They develop a range of mental calculation skills such as adding and subtracting whole numbers along with the mathematical language used.  They learn about shape and space through practical activities.  They should be able to recognise simple number patterns such as multiples of 2, 5 and 10 and understand the relationship between halving and doubling.

These are best accomplished by working with an adult as opposed to any form of self study.  There are many good and inexpensive books available from local bookshops and as it is recommended to use these so no such sheets are offered here.
